It's in our nature.

There's beauty and magic all around you. New vistas and new energy? It's always just a step, hike or paddle away.

Walk the Block

Walk the Block in Kingsville's downtown core. Our downtown area offers a mix of restaurants, retail, coffee shops and services set within heritage and architecturally unique buildings.

Through support of the My Main Street Community Activator Grant Kingsville's Main Street is growing brighter while staying connected to its roots, inspiring all to experience Kingsville’s charm one step at a time.

Through this grant, we have been able to complete the following projects that invite both visitors and residents to get out, gather and enjoy Kingsville's downtown together.

  • The Carnegie Green enhanced as gathering space at the Carnegie Arts & Visitors Centre draws people in for organized and casual community use.
  • Walk the Block map of Kingsville's downtown core in both digital and paper versions encourage all to stay and explore.
  • Step Back in Time is a self-guided map offering a storytelling experience of Kingsville’s unique history through the places and faces that created our Town.
  • Revitalized, multi-season street lighting, signage, and permanent planters will welcome visitors.
  • Chalk the Block installations at our downtown events engaging local artists to create sidewalk chalk murals for all to enjoy.

My Main Street is delivered by the Canadian Urban Institute (CUI), and supported by a Government of Canada investment through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) to foster the stabilization and revitalization of main streets across southern Ontario.

Kingsville Heritage Walking & Driving Tour

This tour consists of homes and buildings that have received Heritage Designation throughout the Town of Kingsville.

The Kingsville Municipal Heritage Advisory Committee was formed in 2004 by Kingsville Town Council to promote and protect built heritage in the municipality. The committee fulfills these tasks by providing an inventory of built heritage, recommending properties for designation and performing public outreach. Much of Kingsville’s attraction stems from its unique collection of historic properties, visible reminders of Kingsville’s rich and storied past. Through designation of homes and buildings, we pass on to future generations an awareness of life in different periods of times and a pride and respect for our town and its history.
