Jumpstart Recovery Program: The WindsorEssex Small Business Centre (SBC) recognizes the need for local small businesses to adapt their business models to thrive during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. SBC invites Windsor-Essex businesses to submit a project proposal to receive a $5,000 Jumpstart Recovery Program grant. This program is delivered by the Small Business Centre at the WindsorEssex Economic Development Corporation and is funded by the Government of Ontario through the Starter Company PLUS program.

Job Match Placement Incentive Program: Assists in providing paid work experience opportunities for clients. These experiences build skills, allow clients to establish work references and increase confidence. We can help clients identify realistic career paths and job goals geared at promoting transferable skills into areas that support long-term employment.
Canada-Ontario Jobs Grant: Intended to support Ontario employers to invest in and develop their workforce through employer-driven training. The program can provide direct financial support to individual employers who wish to purchase training for their workforce. Employers choose the individuals they would like to have trained, and identify the training that meets their workforce development needs.
The Regional Relief and Recovery Fund (RRRF): Provides liquidity support to businesses and organizations affected by the economic impacts of COVID-19, that are unable to access other federal relief measures, or require additional support. RRRF has been extended and expanded in southern Ontario. The expanded parameters include increases in contribution amounts and the time-frame for eligible costs, and are available to new applicants and existing recipients.
Ontario Small Business Support Grant: Helps small businesses that are required to close or significantly restrict services under the new Province-wide Shutdown.
The Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy (CEWS): Helps businesses that have seen a drop in revenue due to the COVID-19 pandemic. You may be eligible for a subsidy to cover part of your employee wages, retroactive to March 15, 2020. This subsidy will enable you to re-hire workers, help prevent further job losses, and ease your business back into normal operations.
Digital Main Street Programs for Ontario Businesses: Offers three new programs to support businesses across Ontario: DMS ShopHERE powered by Google, DMS ONTARIO GRANTS, and DMS FUTURE PROOF.
Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA): Provides interest-free loans of up to $40,000 to small businesses and not-for-profits, to help cover their operating costs during a period where their revenues have been temporarily reduced. This program has been implemented by banks and credit unions in collaboration with Export Development Canada.
Shop YQG: Offers support program for local retail partners. Supported by Tourism Windsor Essex and the Windsor-Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce, the #ShopYQG program will be featured in multiple marketing campaigns.
