This is a prime beach front area that is highly desirable for this purpose. When the public input was sought for the Recreation Master Plan, beach front and public access to beaches was the top priority. With this site development, one of the Town's most desirable areas will be converted to a family friendly environmentally sustainable location for residents to utilize for years to come.

The early attraction the peninsula had for the first people to come in search of game, continues in the overwhelming popularity the park has amongst bird watchers and day visitors.
